Waterproofing for commercial, industrial and residential buildings is a critical step in the building and construction of any structure, so it is important to get in right first time. A wide range of “weldable” roofing membranes are available for such applications.
Membrane sheets can consists of: modified bitumen, polyethylene (PE), polypropylene (PP), ethylenepropylenediene monomer (EPDM), thermoplastic polyolefine (TPO), and other plastic sheet compositions. All of which can be welded using specific plastic welding tools.
In this video, we are welding a Bitumen waterproofing membrane, by overlap welding a 40mm seam using the Techspan Planon, automatic Overlap Roofing welder.
