Eyelet sizes
The press handles standard 8mm, 10mm and 12mm brass or aluminium eyelets – the sizes used across the bulk of NZ tarp, banner and cover manufacturing. Larger eyelets (16mm, 20mm) require a heavier-duty industrial press.
FAQs
How fast can I install eyelets with this press?
A trained operator can install 200-300 eyelets per hour on standard tarp fabric. Hand presses are typically 50-80 per hour. The press pays for itself quickly in tarp production environments.
What fabric weights work with this press?
The press handles standard PVC tarp fabric from 380 GSM through 900 GSM truck tarp. For exceptionally heavy industrial fabric (1500+ GSM) a hydraulic press is more appropriate.
Can I use this for fabric other than PVC tarp?
Yes – any fabric or sheet material that takes a standard eyelet works. Common uses include vinyl banners, mesh banner fabric, canvas, leather goods and packaging.
