What’s in the ACM Plastic Welding Kit
- Hot-air welder (typically Triac-class) – the core machine for welding the PE core of ACM panels
- PE-HD welding rod matched to the polyethylene core of standard ACM
- Fine speed nozzle sized for the narrow corner welds in folded ACM panels
- Pressure roller for compressing the corner seam
- Brass brush for cleaning the panel edge before welding
- Trimming blade for finishing excess rod flush with the panel

FAQs
Does this kit work on fire-rated ACM?
Standard PE-core ACM welds with this kit. Fire-rated ACM (FR or A2 grade with mineral-filled cores) may not weld the same way – check the panel manufacturer’s datasheet before fabrication. Standard PE-core ACM remains common for signage and non-cladding applications.
Can I use this kit for general PE welding too?
Yes – the welder and PE-HD rod work for general PE-HD welding. The fine nozzle is sized for ACM corner welds but the kit is versatile for other thin-section PE work.
What’s the difference between this and the ACM Plus kit?
