This demonstration is done without any weld, to show you how the spark is seen to ‘arc’ across to a conductive material placed behind the work area. In this case we used a piece of steel angel behind the work area. Ideal to ensure your welding is free from any defects and to prove water tightness.
The Spark Tester can be supplied as a “kit” or with just the “tool only”.

How it works
The gun applies a high-voltage spark across the weld surface using a copper bristle brush. The opposite side of the weld is connected to earth via a copper strip embedded during welding. Any pinhole or porosity creates a visible spark, marking the fault for re-welding.
